Volunteering Across the Lifespan: Engaging Volunteers of All Ages
Friday, June 26, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
How can you engage volunteers from pre-school to retirement? This workshop will present the unique challenges and best practices from volunteer managers working with volunteers of all ages. Topics will include best practices for the unique needs of each generation from recruiting, training, engaging and retaining.
Instructors will include Nicole Dalton, Volunteer Screening and Placement Manager at Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri; Simone Bernstein of Volunteer Nation; Stephanie Kurtzman, Director of Community Service and Associate Program Director of the Gephardt Institute; a representative from the United Way; and Elizabeth Pawloski, RSVP Coordinator at The OASIS Institute.
This course qualifies for credit toward the Chancellor’s Certificate in Volunteer Management. In order to obtain this noncredit chancellor’s certificate, individuals must enroll in, and complete, 16 or more hours of training in classes and/or events that qualify.
Tuition: $75 ($60 for MVMA members)
