About the Workshop:
This workshop will focus on the structures and dynamics of teamwork, the common challenges and strategies to address “team brownout and team burnout” and explore activities and opportunities inherent in the current virtual workplace that can help retain team connection and cohesion. Team building and teamwork are developed when there is an intentional plan to develop and sustain a culture of team support and team success.
About the Presenter: Trent Ball
Trent Ball currently serves as Associate Provost at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) and provides leadership and management of the units in the Academic Support Centers. Mr. Ball works closely with the leadership of the Division on pivotal projects and initiatives being spearheaded in Academic Affairs that the Academic Support Centers (ASCs) administrative team actively contributes to, such as Southeast’s Title III grant, focusing on the success of students from low income communities attending Southeast and integrating the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) into our work with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) He assists in the development of the University’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan; provides diversity training and outreach for the academic and administrative units across the University to develop and implement initiatives that focus on the recruitment and retention of minority faculty and staff, as well as underrepresented student populations.
