About the Workshop:
In this workshop, you’ll hear from philanthropist Nina Needleman about the donor perspective. In this 1.5 hour session, you’ll be introduced to the Giving Questionnaire, which she developed as she thought through her charitable goals. She shares this valuable tool with you for you to use to help other donors think through their charitable intent and priorities. Additionally, she will introduce the concept of Philanthropy Financial Planning. Different philanthropy strategies make sense short term, intermediate term, and long term. Hearing her approach, and seeing her tools will help your conversations as you steward your existing donors and develop new ones. Real life examples will be provided, and you’ll wrap up with time to ask questions.
This is a FREE in-person session at NSC in St. Louis, MO.
About the Presenter:
Instructor Nina Needleman is a Retired Financial Planner. She spent the first three-decades of her career in the financial services industry, mostly in stock brokerages and insurance firms. For 20 years, her job focus was teaching the salespeople so they could teach, educate, and sell financial products to consumers. The next 9 years, she worked directly with consumers as a Financial Planner to help them reach their personal life goals.
Now she primarily uses her business skills to help nonprofit organizations and more importantly– as a volunteer to teach people about personal finance and philanthropy. Additionally, in 2019, she spearheaded the establishment of the NSC Capacity Building Scholarship. This program has assisted more than 40 St. Louis area nonprofits since inception.
