When Just Say No is Insufficient: Practical Tools for Boundary Setting and Self Care
Helping professionals choose our career because we want to improve the lives of others, but if we can’t say no or set boundaries when it’s necessary for our own wellbeing, we will experience burnout or compassion fatigue and leave the field. While creating and applying boundaries is not always natural to us, it is essential for healthy practice with clients, in our organizations, and in our communities. This workshop will expand our concept of boundary setting, examine steps of boundary setting and enforcement with clients, colleagues, supervisors, workplaces, communities, and social media. We will use hands-on decision-making tools that help us balance our responsibility to ourselves with our responsibilities to others.

This is an in-person workshop at NSC in St. Louis, MO.
