SUMMARY:Teamwork: Creating and Sustaining Collaborative Working Relationships
DESCRIPTION:About the Workshop:  \nTeamwork has become a buzz word in all professional worlds.  The importance of developing and sustaining collective team projects and activities drives the work in the nonprofit world.  Often we believe we are forging ahead as a team\, until it’s time to access our work or evaluate our success and that is when we begin to understand the difference between a team and a staff of “independent dynamic agents”.  The focus of this workshop will be the work of a team leader in fostering and sustaining a true team\, assessing our perceptions versus the reality of teamwork\, and acquiring the skill set to develop\, evaluate and implement a team approach in work. \nThis is an in-person workshop in St. Louis\, MO. \n  \n About the Presenter: Trent Ball \nTrent Ball serves as the inaugural Senior Director\, Postsecondary Equity and Attainment\, for the Missouri College and Career Attainment Network (MOCAN). MOCAN exists to ensure Missouri students who could most benefit from education beyond high school have what they need to earn a credential leading to a rewarding career. MOCAN is built on the success of two prior initiatives: Missouri College Access Network and St. Louis Graduates. MOCAN is a network of institutions\, organizations\, and professionals committed to greater equity in college and career access\, affordability\, and completion. By working for change at the institutional and systems levels\, MOCAN aspires to create a postsecondary education system where outcomes are no longer predictable by race or socio-economic status. \nAs Senior Director\, Mr. Ball leads MOCAN’s postsecondary attainment strategy including the Postsecondary Equity Network (PEN)\, as well as the organization’s research agenda and advocacy work. Prior to joining MOCAN\, Trent retired from Southeast Missouri State University where he served as Associate Provost and provided leadership and management of the Academic Support Centers\, including Educational Access Programs\, Learning Assistance Programs\, and the TRIO Programs (McNair Scholars and Student Support Services). \n  \nRegister for this workshop HERE.

SUMMARY:Content Hourglass System: How to Deliver Content Like a Big Marketing Team Even if you are a Small Shop
DESCRIPTION:About the Workshop:  \nMarketing can be overwhelming and expensive. There’s demands on you to develop content across many platforms\, from email to website to social media channels. And there’s little budget to outsource so it all falls on you. You know you should be creating good content consistently yet it almost seems impossible. How can you create content that suited to each platform without completely burning out or blowing up? \nWhat there was a way to deliver content every week with less time and money than you have been spending now? What if this system not only made delivery easy but boosted your SEO and drove traffic to your website? \nMeet the Content Hourglass System for delivering engaging content consistently to attract new donors and keep your loyal ones. Maryanne developed this system from working in nonprofit marketing for decades and running her own small company. (She uses this system herself\, every week!) \nIn this workshop\, Maryanne will share how the system works and how you can start implementing it for your nonprofit. This is full transparency. She will share exactly how to do it\, how much time it takes and how much it costs. This is less expensive and easier than you think. \nShe has had clients and workshop participants say that this system changed how they work\, made marketing so much easier and allowed them to spend more time building connections and raising funds. \nOutcomes \n\nUnderstand why marketing can feel difficult and time consuming\nFocus your efforts and maximize your content by telling “one awesome story” a week\nDeliver way more content than you ever thought possible in at least half the time\nStop unnecessary duplication of efforts and even trim that marketing budget\n\n  \nAbout the Presenter: Maryanne Dersch \nMaryanne Dersch coaches and trains nonprofit leaders to master the art of influence\, so they can raise more money without feeling rejected or pushy. Her “effervescent badassery” calls you to be more influential in your work\, life and even in your own view of self. \nShe has spent almost thirty years working in the nonprofit world helping organizations communicate more effectively internally and externally. From those experiences she authored\, Courageous Communication: Why codependence is making your nonprofit brand boring and what to do about it. She also produces and hosts The Influential Nonprofit podcast and the annual Donor Attraction Forum virtual event. \nShe is leading a movement to change “nonprofit” to “human investment company” to accurately reflect the contributions of the sector. She’s known for her love of ultrahigh heels\, extra-large Diet Cokes\, and short karaoke rotations. \n  \nRegister for this workshop HERE.

SUMMARY:Digital Donor Recruitment: 7 Steps to Turn Online Followers into New Donors
DESCRIPTION:About the Workshop:  \nNearly all nonprofits have fallen into this trap: we’ve built our homes on rented land\, with social media as the main avenue to grow our influence and find new donors. But we don’t control that space and who sees our content. And the algorithms change\, older platforms fall out of favor as new ones emerge and it is hard to keep up with the changes. \nNonprofits can pivot towards brand-building tactics that provide reliable reach.  Learn to build your house on land you own. This workshop will teach you the seven steps to grow your base of support in reliable and consistent ways. \nAbout the Presenter: Maryanne Dersch \nMaryanne Dersch coaches and trains nonprofit leaders to master the art of influence\, so they can raise more money without feeling rejected or pushy.
