SUMMARY:Roadmapping 2021: Virtual and Hybrid Events
DESCRIPTION:Questions For You: \n\nWhat is your unique superpower?\nWhat is the biggest inspirational shift you’ve made professionally in 2020? How are you communicating that to your donors?\nWithin your organization\, what do you love? What would you love to see?\nWhat do you hope to learn as a takeaway from attending this masterclass?\n\nVirtual Events:\nWhile they were initially looked upon as a fallback alternative\, that’s changing! The virtual event wave is evolving from a temporary solution to a long-term strategy.\nWe will look at: \n\nHow virtual events will evolve in 2021 and beyond.\nFundamentals of what makes a successful virtual event.\nWhy 2021 will be more challenging to fundraise than 2020 if you stick to what you know!\n\nHybrid Events:\nA combination of an on-location fundraiser with streaming for those who are unable to attend\, or for those that prefer to watch from home. Appealing to a larger audience and making this a highly ACCESSIBLE event to anyone and everyone is critical. You’ll learn: \n\nHow does a hybrid event work?\nWhy hybrid events are indefinitely the way of the future.\nProper preparation and communication now will drive success tomorrow.

SUMMARY:Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You – The Pragmatist’s Guide to Successful Special Events
DESCRIPTION:AFP Global knows times are tough\, but you still need to stay at the top of your fundraising game. That’s why registration fees have been waived for the next three webinars for all members! Not an AFP member yet? You can join here: https://afpglobal.org/join\nSpecial events have long been synonymous with fundraising and as a result\, every fundraiser has a story of cold food\, missing golf balls\, no-show volunteers\, and the $200 pot of hotel coffee. We also know that fundraising events\, on average\, have one of the lower net profit factors and yet\, they are often the go-to solution in a financial pinch. It is essential that every fundraiser understand the value special events can play within their organization\, as well as the importance of setting appropriate financial\, time management and resource expectations. In this session we will discuss this love-hate relationship\, as well as review the cornerstone elements of successful events\, including how to define success\, knowing when to move on and setting pragmatic boundaries for the future.
