About the Workshop:
This workshop will review the critical impact and importance that diversity can and should have in any workplace. We will discuss the key components of the supervisory relationship that inform diverse perspectives and approaches including; establishing and maintaining trust, setting expectations, comfort in difficult dialogue, and identifying appropriate boundaries. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are common touchpoints and buzzwords and in this workshop we will highlight common pitfalls and obstacles to creating and sustaining a successful relationship grounded in our work and what the terms mean. In closing we will discuss what underscores the challenges often inherent but rarely addressed in diversity presentations and actions in the nonprofit space.
