About the Presenters

David Desai-Ramirez

David Desai-Ramirez, IFF’s executive director for Kansas, Missouri and southern Illinois, is responsible for leading and managing operations and lending activities in the region. David joined IFF in January 2015 after eight years at The Desco Group, where he was most recently the senior manager of finance, responsible valuation, risk management, treasury and capitalization of the roughly $650M commercial real estate portfolio. During his tenure, David negotiated, structured and closed over 30 loans totaling more than $300 million.

Michelle Gleason

Michelle Gleason joined IFF in July 2008 as underwriter for charter school clients. She later relocated to St. Louis to assist with new charter school development, facility consulting, and financial planning. Currently as a senior loan officer, Michelle is responsible for underwriting and getting approval for all loan requests across IFF’s southern region. Prior to IFF, Michelle was lead account manager at Key Bank Real Estate Capital, where she managed various commercial real estate loan portfolios. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in Urban Education Policy from Brown University. Currently, she serves as board treasurer for the Missouri Charter Public School Association.
